"There is always more good than bad in the world"

Working as a clinician for several years in residential, outpatient, and institutional environments, I have been blessed to gain experience helping people work through a broad spectrum of individual, relationship, and familial struggles. No matter the circumstance, I continue to be honored and humbled by my clients, couples and families that allow me into their lives.

I attended the University of Southern Maine for my undergraduate degrees in Psychology & Holistic Health which shaped much of my lifestyle and understanding of the mind-body connection.  My graduate degree in Social Work was proudly obtained at USM as well.

Throughout my life I have overcome struggles loving someone who battled addiction, immense grief & loss, co-dependency and anxiety. I apply those life journeys as seeds of inspiration for the therapeutic methods I use today. My clients describe me as having a welcoming, open, and active style in sessions. As a well practiced couples and family clinician, I enjoy supporting people in reconnecting with one another and laughing again. In my individual sessions I strive to help my clients feel understood and motivated to live their best life. I strongly value creating a judgement free environment for my couples and individuals, free of labels. I am a cannabis friendly clinician and support open exploration of how substances may help or hinder your life.

My time outside of the office is spent outside!  I live for cooking, eating, playing with my dogs, spending time with family and hiking in the great outdoors with my life partner.

“We’re all doing the best we can with what we have and know in each given moment”

My name is Whitney and I’m a yogi, hiker, therapist, Mainer, chicken-owner, dog-mom, Scorpio, ocean-lover and believer of many things. I enjoy supporting individuals and couples with a broad range of life challenges including anxiety, panic, emotional overwhelm, depression, difficult life transitions/changes, relationship conflicts, new or recent pregnancy, and adjustment to parenthood.

My goal for the client’s that I work with is to create an open, honest and judgment free space so that you are able to speak freely about whatever it is that brings you in. I will spend time getting to know you and check in often about how things are working within our therapeutic relationship. I hope to offer you a space to be yourself, develop nurturing tools to manage life stress, and break free from whatever is holding you back.

My degrees are in Psychology and Social Work and I am a Registered Yoga Teacher and Reiki Practitioner. I am passionate about alternative and holistic strategies to healing and tend to use a mind-body approach in my work with client’s. I believe that most of what we need already lies within. I am here as a guide to help you reconnect to your self and your inner wisdom so that you are able to live with more ease and joy.

If you are hoping for greater connection between mind, body, spirit, and soul, I would love to help you on your journey.
